    Love the frac again

  • Thanks, Billy is a tin 1/2 filled with water you place on the fire to make a cuppa :-)

Great images! I can never get any this good! Although i do take photos of a fire inside a fuel stove so maybe that has something to do with it too (plus there is usually a fluroscent light on in the kitchen).

  • Experiment with fractalius, just don’t overdo it … also create a selective colour layer and play with red and yellow channels .. only other thing I did here was lay a ‘Glamour’ layer on top at 20%, this is a Virtual Photographer filter.

Looks like i might have to consider investing in a post-processing program of some sort…
I only shoot “straight from the camera” as i have no idea of what to do when it comes to photoshop, etc.
i think i’ll just have to continue admiring other artists works for now.

what post production program do you use Darren and is is available off the web?

  • Hi Bec,
I used Fractalius, I find it’s great to bring out the lines / detail on certian images. I also use the Virtual Photographer to enhance … I add new layer on top and control opacity so as to not overpower original image.
