This is a favorite of mine. It was captured while I was photographing the NTTA. I got many good shots that day, but really like this one, and not sure why. I think its witnessing the cycles of life for a sunflower. All at the same time, one is passing, another is maturing, while new life developes as well.

You guys are to much, I can not tell you how good it feels to connect, share and feel accepted. You all might of felt like you can’t explain exactly what you do, and followed your own dreams, no matter what others say. Someone dear to me asked, when are you going to give up? Never! Its a passion, that I just have to explore. Photography has turned into Visual art, and enjoy what just happens. I might not get rich, but the rewards I get from capturing my world, will someday have it place in history. I am a simple man, and I feel blessed to enjoy my life, after all that I have been through. I also captured the post, for the street signs, sitting on the new Tollway in the background. Thanks for your comments. its hard to keep up. Darrell

You really have captured the life cycle. But even in death, sunflower continues to provide, as birds come to feed on the seeds.

This is an very beautiful, poignant photo. It tells the story of birth, life, death and renewal so perfectly. You have a photographer’s heart, Darrel – as beautiful as your images. Keep up the excellent work.
