This was taken near Blomidon, NS, Canada. The tides here move very fast and go wayyy out. The boats work according to the tide, as you can imagine.

    Great Capture! Amazing how high those tides are!

  • I know, it was a great opportunity to get a good shot. What I found ut later kind of freaked me out though. Mom’s 1st cousin used to keep his boat docked at the wharf in this shot. According to Dad, even when the tide is in it isn’t easy coming in here as there are a lot of shoal’s and can be tricky. Well Mom’s cousin was making his way in when a shoal broke over his boat and swamped it. Her cousin survived but his bride-to-be was down ford in the bunks and never made it out, she drowned. I guess they were right in the harbour too. The things you find out by going on excursions taking photographs!
