original sin evil demons abortion
Saint sinner but always thought provoking and brilliant
Thanks a lot,Tim.
As I’ve mentioned before,DarkV,I’m a ‘rough beast’ with no real understanding of poetry but your words certainly conjure some fascinating imagery for me to ponder. (Prolly not the kind of imagery that they were intended to conjure either!) Being a journeyman Demonologist your mention of Belial ( the’Demon of Lawlessness’) appealed to me!Do you put much faith in the concept of ‘sin’,Hilary?Anyway, this dark (?) work is a very interesting creation which I enjoyed reading very much!~Sean
Thanks, Sean. As for the concept of sin, I think the only way to see the world accurately is as a battleground between Good and Evil. I appreciate that many situations (and people) move in shades of grey, and conventional ideas about good and evil are often mistaken. Nonetheless, unless you are a relativist, it’s the only game in town. I shudder when I debate about abortion and someone says, “that’s truth to you and this is truth to me” or they claim that the whole thing shouldn’t be a matter of law but that it should be “left up to the individual” whether to murder their children.
As for my humble poem, one of the things it might suggest is the chilling fact that, beneath our goody-goody self-regarding exteriors, we are all basically evil. As you can see, I’m no humanist, ha. Thanks for your kind words, Sean.
You’re welcome,Hilary! :)
Many thanks, WB.
