The Vampire's Kiss.

As swift and painless as a new razor blade
my kiss penetrates you;
I have long pursued you across eons of time
so I can be with you.
I have lived on my own for many lives of your kind
but now things have changed; our lives are entwined,
now I know I can love too.

Come with me, my only one,
it’s only you I crave;
come to the life that’s just begun.
Come into the grave.

Before we both met I knew only death,
death for those I took;
I mocked as I hurt them and stole their last breath,
and on their flesh I sucked.
I bit them and bled them and drained them at night,
I stripped them and had them though they put up a fight.
But you I don’t need to abduct.

Come with me, my only one,
it’s only you I crave;
come to the life that’s just begun.
Come into the grave.

I feel the warmth of your breasts under me
but I am cold inside.
I need to share in your body’s heat,
I want you for my Bride.
We will be joined forever my love,
drinking the blood of the foolish above,
while we swim in the red tide.

Come with me, my only one,
it’s only you I crave;
come to the life that’s just begun.
Come into the grave.

I feast deeply on that nourishing river,
the blood flows swiftly in.
But I wonder if I want a companion forever
as I drain you through your skin.
I cannot stay here at the start of the dawn,
your carcass is empty, your body is torn.
A new quest shall begin!

Don’t come with me my foolish one,
you I no longer crave.
Your life is ended, not begun,
you will rot in a shallow grave.
