news on my physical gallery

Since opening in August 2012 my Gallery Boutique set in a comforting log cottage in the quaint town of Buninyong, just outside of Ballarat, has been constantly creating a new experience for the visitor. Many positive responses, I’ve had a large number of purchases of my own artworks, whether they be in the form of greeting cards, prints, placemats & coasters, wrapping papers & or t-shirts. The joys of finding other unique well crafted pieces is coming alive & everyday welcoming new & returning visitors, so if in the neighbourhood why not pop by for a visit. We offer a gorgeous Japanese Brand of tea for tasting. For further info & updates tune across to awaking-dreams Gallery & like ;)

Featured on RedBubble HomePage Dec 15th 2010

my piece weather away… was featured on the redbubble home page from about Dec 15th 11pm (Aust. EST.) til Dec 16th 11am (2010)

It’s been a while since making the homepage & for that I’m very grateful. I’m still searching for the curator of this homepage to thank them. I really love the flow & balance throughout. Some great works by all featured!!

A trip down memory lane:
My last homepage feature was:
light in the dark

& there was one more… which i should recall… but has slipped my mind… possibly my most popular piece “the road home”, but then again I’ve been trying to search through… I’ve been a very busy boy, but am a happy one :))

cheers for all your support :))

My Achievement ~ a very sunny one!!

I’ve just finished off the creation of a Gift Card…

Just a small one with not so much insignificance ~ lol

You can see by the size of the card that it is very large in size & is significant…

I’m not sure who the person is holding the card though ~ perhaps the creator ;)

so enjoy the pieces… it’s part of my softer side
(since many are under the impression I’m quite dark in nature)

& if you’ve got to here & like… check out my lighter works

Kallena Kucers aka Dragonfly's Exhibition ~ a must see!!

Earlier today I had the pleasure of making my way out to Fairfield, a suburb of Melbourne, with some friends & was truly taken in by the power, the thought-provoking nature which is within Kallena’s works!! They are presented beautifully at 96 × 64cm & I was not disappointed!! A true talent Kallena has (I’ve known that since I first started following her earlier last year), but to see the pieces in the larger size format, not on the screen Kallena’s works deserve to be seen on the large scale.
My hope & suggestion to Kallena is that I would truly love to see these in a book as the collection with the stories behind the pieces…

Keep up the amazing work Kallena!!

& for readers in Melbourne please view here for further information

I have a lot of …

something a little different... Part 2

today I came across the talent of Julie Luke

I really found Julie’s works to capture a sense of creation, a balance between reality & the imagination, the dark & the light, clever & appealing… I hope you may also be able to enjoy these five works I really admire:

The Garden of Lucca

I do hope you have enjoyed these works of Julie’s as I have
& that you may also take the opportunity to venture here

hope you’re enjoying your week, Durham :)

something a little different... octobray feature

The last 5 works I had favourited prior to writing this, which really strike a chord with me…

The works are all those of octobray

look amazing as a set… & so my intentions are for a couple of days to be controlled & not favourite any other works so that these remain on my overview page :)

Recently David aka “octobray” wrote an interview like article which featured a piece of my work. I am not writing this in reply to that, for I don’t feel I have to… It’s just that when I saw these works together in this way today I thought “wow” ~ a brilliant collection right there in front of me…

Current Homepage Featured Images as selected by me ;) 25-6th April

I wish everyone featured here a successful day :))
The selected items relate to various feelings I have & certain others around me have faced in recent times. I’m sure others also go through these feelings/ emotions too. Yes, the works have a style that I also truly appreciate!! The images were not selected without great thought… Strangely I probably spent about 5 hours going through various works to reach this outcome :))
Please enjoy!!

Award for Excellence in Digital Art ~ Solo Exhibition

Recently my piece:

was recognised with the following:

Vonne Emerson Award for Excellence in Digital Art
Juried Invitational of Solo Exhibition, March 2010

for which I’m very grateful…

If you haven’t checked the image out yet I’d hope that you’ll click on the “dances of enchantment…” image above and enjoy it :) I’m always grateful for your feedback, cheers :))

Let this not be the last, I’m now challenging my mind to think outside & to continue to create images that will turn heads, are unique in their nature & be appreciated by not only myself, but by others too…

A big special thanks to Solo Exhibition & all who were involved for their support…
