really stunning – this red is beautiful

  • DaRkSiLeNcE replied

thanks hsien-ku, I`m glad you`ve came across this piece… in this case the red no doubt replaces the white that is often found in the b & w or darker sepia toned images you like or take ;)

Love the single twig…..with cherry (?) blossoms faded into the background, maple leaf and other foliage shapes add so much! Wow…..this really does need exploring.

  • DaRkSiLeNcE replied

thanks Mel, for that’s what it’s all about – looking beyond just the obvious & trying to take you deeper… You are on the money with what you have found & suggested so far… there is only one more image of a different flower in there ;)

  • DaRkSiLeNcE replied

I had to check on that myself, the english name that is ~ but you’ve picked it right – camellia or as I more commonly have come to know it as Tsubaki ;)
