lying in open fields,
she thinks about her day.
she remembers their conversation
but didn’t know what she should say.

she felt like a fool,
who couldn’t respond.
she made up so many excuses,
and the list went on and on.

she so wished that it wasn’t true.
that it was all just a phase.
but she couldn’t let go of her words,
so she tried to figure out the maze.

her friend wanted answers,
and wanted them now.
but she stuttered and couldn’t answer,
and she felt like a worthless cow.

she loved her friend, for sure.
and even though now they are in love and together,
she has worries what others would think
but she knew that with their love, they will last forever.
