I am quirky and crazy, sort of impulsive. I am HIGHLY influenced by music for my photos. There is a playlist in my head 24/7. My favorite band is Finch and if I hadn’t listened to them I dont think my photos would be what they are today.
I have been a photographer since I was 19 years old, I started off with portrait photography, moved to landscape photography and currently I do portraits as my main source of income.
It started as just a hobby, just a little class I took. Shortly after I got a job in a studio…. while it didn’t teach me much technical, it did help with my creativity and brought me out of my shell. After only 8 months of being there I was promoted to assistant manager.
It took me forever to purchase a DSLR, I almost bought a Rebel XTi in 2007 but the day before I was going to buy it I had major financial issues pop up. I almost bailed out on the DSLR I own now but I’m glad I didn’t and it was something I should have done years ago since I already knew how operate a camera in manual (or did, I forgot over the years and I had to relearn) But it isn’t really the camera, its the photographer!
