While driving in the country looking for whatever would catch my eye I spotted this Highland cow grazing and enjoying the mid day sun. Taken outside Ottawa, Ont, Canada with Canon 7D and 300 2.8 L Lens
Hello and Welcome
I’m an amateur photographer and pretty new to wildlife photography. I found my calling with wildlife, mainly birds and whitetail deer as they are plentiful in this region. I find great satisfaction photographing birds and mammals and of course coming upon anything out of the ordinary.
I hope you enjoy your visit.

Nice one Jim….I also found a farm near my place with approximately 12 of these…
It didn’t have wings; so I did not photograph them..(I should rethink the “Wing Thing”…lol
Thanks Ted…your bio does state “My main interest is birds; but I am starting to incorporate other nature/wildlife into my viewfinder”

I guess those protuberances there aren’t wings…. But he might try to squeeze the ends of them into those Bluebird houses. Would love to see a photo of that. Be that as it may, I love these critters in all their glory, wherever they turn up. Good catch, no bull. Or was it really a Cow?
NOVEMBER 16, 2011……CONGRATULATIONS! Thank you for adding your images to Livestock In General.
