The Snowy Owl is typically found in the northern circumpolar region, where it makes its summer home north of latitude 60 degrees north. However, it is a particularly nomadic bird, and because population fluctuations in its prey species can force it to relocate, it has been known to breed at more southerly latitudes. Took this not too far from my house in Kanata, Ont, Canada with Canon 40D and 300 2.8 lens
How often to we get to see a bird like this, let alone capture it in a photo. He sit so REGAL on his perch against the winter’s blue sky. Lovely….Jules
