This is the oldest living pine tree in Canada. It wraps it’s gnarled trunk and roots around the bare rock at Whirlpool Point on the North Saskatchewan River not far from the boundary of Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada in the Kootenay Plains Ecological reserve. The tree is around 1200 years old.
