Fruit vendor at floating market in Thailand.

Nice shot, I’ve been to Thailand a few times but haven’t had the chance to visit the floating market yet in Bangkok. I’m just guessing, but is this the market in Bangkok?
There are 5 floating markets in the greater Bangkok area. This is the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market (sometimes referred to as Ton Kem Market). It’s the most popular with tourists and vendors, so it is crowded and colorful. This is located about 62 miles SW of Bangkok. We also went to the Hia Kui Market (a couple km away from Ton Kem), which is less frequented by tourists and hence more authentic and less expensive – but also less colorful.I would recommend taking pictures from the long-tail boats at Ton Kem and buying any trinkets at Hia Kui. But go early because Hia Kui closed down around noon and Tom Kem gets all the tourist buses around 10:30am.There are two floating markets inside Bangkok but they are exclusively for tourists and lack the photogenic nature of Tom Kem.

Thanks for the great advice, I’ll certainly make it there my next trip to Thailand. Thailand is very convenient to travel to for me since I live in Taiwan.
