This was the view from my window in Paris.

A feature of the photo for me is the narrow roadway. It dominates the photo by spliting it into two halves & because of its straightness it adds a wonderful sharp vanishing point.

Fantastic black and white image!! Amazing birds eye perspective! :D Caitlin

  • Thank you Caitlin. As soon as i looked outside my window the lamp drew my attention. I love the old style street lamps of Europe.

There is a lot to like about this shot, the angle the b&w, the subject matter…very good!

  • Thank you Mucha, nice of you to be so positive :) Paris was (and is) a beautiful place with so much to photograph, I would love to return.

love the way the lamp in the foreground draws your eye to the bottom of the picture, magical

  • Thank you so much, I like the smaller lamp on the opposite side of the road which I think adds a kind of balance (for me anyway)

Great POV works realy well in B&W – Neil

  • Thanks Neil, the road appears so narrow but it is not really if you use one of the cars as a point of reference.
