Hey there, I’m Dan, a 26 year old illustrator from Acushnet, MA but currently living in New Bedford, MA. I attended Fairhaven High School then Umass Dartmouth where I graduated in 2008 with a Bachelors Degree in Illustration/Visual Design. I’ve since done quite a bit of illustration and graphic design freelance work while also working at Hasbro. I’ve done a handful of shows throughout New Bedford
at galleries such as Artworks, Gallery X, and the UGLY Gallery. I’ve also shown in some parts of Rhode Island as well.
So I’ve gone through so many different phases in terms of an art style. Seriously I have artistic ADD. But recently I seem to have settled on a Twisted/Splatter/Street Art sort of style…at least that’s what I would call it. I try to combine various aspects of my favorite artist’s styles to create something that I can call my own. Lora Zombie, Alex Pardee, Ralph Steadman, Tim Burton and Jamie Hewlett to name a few.
I do tend to start projects that I never stick with. At any one time I have at least five different projects that I bounce around to. Keeps it interesting in my opinion and also keeps me busy since I always have something to draw and something to go back to.
