yes, tribal art (ie african masks) have been a big influence on me. yes, it’s collage (coloured pieces from glossy magazines – most of the background is composed of the skin tones of models and celebrities!)

i love that this is made from magazines which are otherwise useless….and models and celebrities ….i like that you have transformed the same ridiculousness to real feeling art.

i love the effect of this and the blank eyes…any mag in particular you used?

thanks alot. i appreciate it. i just used several glossy mags (mens and women’s magazines such as fhm and cosmo). these mags always have lots of colours, lots of ads and lots of FLESH! i think that the blank eyes are due to my love of african masks. they’re made from mullbery paper. alot of my faces have no eyes. what does that say about my pyschological state lol?
