Eternal Angel Friend

Head’s a jumble of words,
Reassuring as there is no angst,
No pressure, fear or pain,
Just a smiling simple child,
Like the faint polaroid’s of youth,
Once again infatuated,
Trying to think of new ways
To make you feel loved,
My eternal angel friend.

This poem is about two things, 1 is praising myself for how I’ve pulled myself together over a difficult 12 months of self exploration and 2 acknowledging how fantastic my wife Helen has been over this period of time. No man could wish for a better friend by their side, there is no pillar so strong as that of true love. She’s helped me through so much and has given more than I could ever ask. I now know what true love is and just want to spend my life looking after her in the way she has helped me.

Helen I love you x
