Jim and I

Visiting my brother Jim was always an experience and rarely uneventful,
there was a knock at the door.
Jim sneaked a quick look through the blinds
“Oops I think I need your help on this one bro as usual your timings perfect” and he high tailed it into the kitchen.
I got up and answered the door. Standing on the front porch was a not too attractive young lady and if there wasn’t a screen door separating us I think I would have been punched judging by her stance , demeanour and the language spewing from her not too attractive mouth.
“You bastard” she began and after two minutes without taking a breath and repeatedly hitting the door:
“You arrogant prick is that how you treat all women?” was how she ended.
The young women broke into tears and ran down the front path and out of view to where or for what I didn’t really care.
My task was complete.
“She’s gone you can come out now” I called to my brother.
I waited at the door as he came out of the kitchen smirking that “Shit happens” grin of his.
To the uninitiated you would have thought I was standing in front of a mirror, you would be mistaken.
Jim is my identical twin and if he’s not too careful he will be my ex twin brother and I’ll be a single edition especially if one of these ladies has a jealous husband, crazy boyfriend or big brother.
That’s why I only visited occaisionally.
