We sat opposite each other over the campfire, He’d picked me up 15 miles out of Bangalo. He said he’s been a roadie for bands in the 80s and his appearance seemed to confirm it. He entertained me with lotss of stories of his glory days as we waited for the meager meal to cook on the fire.
After dinner he brought out a guitar which he played quite well. He handed to me and I showed him what I was capable of.
After I had cooked and ate his liver and kidneys and buried the body I kept the fire burning with his smashed guitar musing over his last words.
He said I had an unnatural ability.
He got it half right, I have an unnatural hunger.
Tomorrow I hit the road in my new car looking for more “Road Kill”.

Hitchhiking’s just not what it used to be.
It is in Australia if you’re an English backpacker :)

Nothing quite like a guitar solo. Especially when its dripping blood.
This what happens when you play folk tunes around campfires.

Eeeew.
I just wonder if a little green tomato chutney would have been out of place?
Or a nice chianti ;0)
Roadie road kill eh? I’m thinking more of a cheese sauce with that.
