Cassette Memories

Cassette Memories by Danny Inc.®

Cassette Memories

This is to make Lucan’s work look good
I should retitle this…Band wagon jumping
because there are so many cassette tees on the site at the moment.
I was too slow
But I don’t give a shit
When have I ever let quality get in the way of an idea.

The 80”s?? I still have shoe boxes filled with cassettes. One of my Grant McLennan albums is a cassette and also a couple of Bob Dylan albums. Then there are the cassette tapes of our kids yabbering when they were young. We couldn’t afford a video camera.

Yes, I refuse to move with the times.

    Good one Danny!

ha! I think this is one of those examples of syncronisity ( but probably spellt correctly).
I`m still holding on to a few classic mixed tapes myself..

Casettes are not death. I still have my collection, over 300. And the 18 tracks tapes were as good as these ones. Skull and bones.

  • Lucan Industries Unlimited

Lucan Industri..., about 1 year ago

Hang on, I commented on this. I said:
“When have I ever let quality get in the way of an idea.” – Classic.
I was going to write Lucan Industries in tape on mine, but quite simply, couldn’t be fucked.

Where did you put my comment you bastard?

(your tees rank higher than mine these days old chap, good work)

this…this is great. how many hours of my life did I sit next to my father’s half broken record/casette player taping my fav tracks when we didn’t even have an FM station..hey and that wasn’t so long ago! Danny, do they come in girl’s fitted tees??

now, I like this tape tee, this is exactly the way I remember them. Soooo true, all my ‘do not tape over’ tapes have unusual heavy breathing sounds followed by my little sisters ‘practising for eisteddfods’ singing? voice. Yeah, the shit always hit the fan in my house – ahhhh fond memories.

  • Paul Louis Villani

Paul Louis Vil..., about 1 year ago

    LOL!! Memories?
More like nightmares!! Did you ever leave one of these in the deck of car at the beach for 8 hours at over 40 degrees? ;p!

I look at this and I realise how unrealiable these little bastards were.
You pull one out after a couple of years, realise it’s got the song you taped but now can’t buy anywhere,
Then the the things starts to pull it’s self to pieces ALAH like on the tee
    You musics gone…..
This happened to a whole heap of original Le HooDoo Guru songs I had
I always make sure I clean and flex everything before I put them on my harddrive.

Oh…and FYI…I still have MY 2 shoe-boxes full of mix tapes (some of which would be mighty collectible now if I hadn’t played them 1000 times whilst having an all nighter…then an all dayer…then an all nighter again…...) I even have my first “Cassingles” still!!!! (“Can’t touch this” -Classic Hammer!) Anyway…...more sweet memories please….;)

When I was about 16 I spent the summer holidays working as a casual in the Opus cassette factory in Sydney which to me at the time (80’s) was like striking gold as I also had a twin cassette deck ghetto blaster (which I still have and use, it lives in my kitchen).....ah yes, the memories. This is really cool Danny.

What a wonderful blast from the past! I got my first Sanyo tape deck in 1980 (and the radio still works – Just). I remember sitting there with a blanky ready to go when your fave songs came on the radio – didn’t you just hate it when they talked over the start of a song! Thanks for the memories!

Now, can you come up with something for a record??? hehehe

In 1980 I won a travelling scholarship to the BBC and that was pre-midi every note on a synth had a wire for on and a wire for off. Arrrgh!
