Life is like a piano,
For I once did see it writ
It needs the master’s touch
How true that is for us.
But it is also true
That a piano can be played
Beautifully, wretchedly, or not at all.
And so it is true with our lives as well.
If you walk down the straight and narrow path,
You shall indeed be played beautifully,
For you will fulfill the life God has for you.
But if you walk the wide and crooked path,
Through death and destruction,
You shall be played wretchedly,
Or you will just sit and gather dust
From morning to dusk,
From the moment you are born
Until the day you let out you last breath.
So let us all be,
That piano that gets played so much
It needs the master’s touch,
To renew, and make a cheerful son.
May not be to everyone’s taste but that’s ok.
