My love of photography began in 2006 when I got my very first camera, just a little Olympus point and shoot. I mainly took photos of my pets and flowers at that time.

About a year later I got a Fuji Finepix S6500fd which served me quite well in teaching me a little about manual settings and gave me a bit more control than the Olympus.

Half way through 2010 I bought my first SLR – a Canon EOS 1000d twin lens kit, with the 18-55mm & 75-300mm lenses. I’ve recently added to my kit a lovely 430EXII speedlite which I love.

Since my small beginnings in 2006, I now do a lot more portrait work and have even started photographing weddings which I really enjoy and hope to do more of.

I would like to explore the world of commercial photography too.

I learn a lot from seeing what other people do and experimenting with different settings on my equipment, as well as ‘playing’ with different cameras.

Just got a new camera
