    Beautiful bw and lovely view.

It’s been a long hectic day and the need to relax and just be with someone you care about drives you to risk getting caught in the storm and venture outdoors. You grab your keys and take your significant other by the hand. The door slams shut behind and the two of you hop down the steps. You arrive at the bottom first, turn, wrap your arms around her waist, and then spin. Her feet dangle in the air while she holds on tight, arms wrapped around your neck. Hand in hand you walk down the street to the pier at the end. Not a another living creature is seen along the walk. The boards of the dock creek with each footfall. The sound mixed with the clacking and shuffling of the shoes creates a soft echo, heard twice before no longer audible. Hmm, maybe it’s the approach of the storm but something overcomes you both and you stop suddenly. Closing your eyes, you listen. Listen to the water ripple and lap at the legs of the dock. Feeling the slight swaying of the dock, you both begin to sway. First to the left and then to the right. Slowly, eyes still closed, you turn toward one another. The swaying continues and turns into a waltz. Lost in the moment and one another, you come to a rest at the end. You both sit and watch the storm clouds journey across the sky.

    Lovely. :-)

I like the dark mood of this. So often people have the Happy “Happy Joy joy” shots like this. Sometimes ya just want a darker mood. Great shot!

  • Thanks for the feedback!

I thought this was a good way to use my 10 stops ND filter, on top of a 2 stops ND grad filter, to achieve this 30 seconds exposure. :-)
