Think belief in the wisdom of our own essence is so crucial to humanity’s direction. Society pressure seems to be blocking faith in our own hearts. Only a passion for self awareness can cleanse this.

  • Thanks for your insight Tony

your artwork is fascinating Danita…I have not heard about Mandalas, so will have to read up on it now. Such intricate, energised art :)

  • Thanks Louise ! There’s loads of info on the net. And entering into the process of creating from a circle yourself, will give you more clarity!!
The word mandala comes from Sanskrit and translated it means “circle”, also “sacred or whole circle”. They are found in many forms in various cultures, throughout the ages. Mandalas have been drawn, painted, sculpted in sand, grains, gemstones and flowers, and fashioned from wood, stone and other materials. You see mandalas in designs in mosaics, etchings, engravings, pottery, weaving….
Carl Jung (father of psychology) helped to introduce the mandala to the West. He thought that the finished mandala illustrated unconscious energy, dream expression and emotions. He said that a mandala symbolizes inner reconciliation and wholeness….
I play with mandalas in this way.
    I love the creative process.
    I love the sacred geometry.
I love spinning a compass and seeing what comes of it….
