Coloured pencils & Gold Art Pen on paper.
This Mandala was created over many months; a process of adding form and colour grew from a desire to “put some pieces back together” in my life. ..
It became a piece I could return to when the feeling arose, a gradual shift of focus onto the glorious, bright and colourful parts of my life.
It has feminine curves and swirls. I see it as symbolising that aspect of myself.
I call it a clown chakra, its a whimsical name, as that is how I imagine mine might look!
Traditionally, chakras relate to the energy centres within a person, whereby the life force flows through. This is really a playful and cheeky approach to depicting an “energy centre” I have visualised.

Beautiful work,Danita!I love the colors.
Realy cute,perfect title.
Beautiful… and the title so well chosen…. the curls remind me of the little bells on a clown’s hat…:)
Thank you {{{ aila }}} It was a slow process of adding colours that inspired me at the time.
It really did take many months as it was a journey through some personal healing, and at times felt very confrontational and just a little crazy!!
However that crazy bit is the bit I like the most in this one, that its not perfect symmetry, that the colours conflict …
Thank you Heike, it was fun to do. It feels abit child-like, that wonder-filled awe of a child …
Thank you Martilena, the funny thing is someone said that EXACT same thing to me today, the “bells and the clown or jester’s hat” !!!
and the other funny thing is that naive me (!) hadnt seen it that way before!!
So proves again how subjective art is to the viewer.
Mandalas seem to hold that quality – whereby the viewer “receives” only what is “required”.
Thanks for your comments.
Cheers xx
stunning…… utterly joyously rambunctiously FUN…. it truly lives and laughs. Thank you.
