Senna artemisioides (subspecies zygophylla) - Lowly Peninsula, South Australia by

In 2011, the Lowly Peninsula near Whyalla in South Australia was blessed with greater than usual rainfall. This resulted in an explosion of wildflowers like this vivid Senna. Yellow and white flowers of many species predominated, and proved extremely popular with a wide variety of pollinating insects and birds. The peninsula where this photograph was taken is currently marked for wholesale industrialisation, and its natural beauty needs your support and protection.
