it’s a shame these old structures are slowly being lost, just rotting slowly or being overgrown. for me a great loss of history and childhood history. i hung tobacco in these old barns. my grandmothers house was located uptown where the tobacco trucks went back and forth from the markets to the packing warehouses. you could smell the wondwerful smell of cured tobacco all summer. db
