my golden girl

I had to do today, THE most singular horrid thing l’ve ever had to do in my life thus far…..put my baby girl Bonnie to sleep.

She has fought so hard for the last 8 months but on the weekend her body just couldn’t take it any longer and just shut down. There is only so much you can do for animals when they have cancer. She was on a high dose of drugs and pain killers to help her get through the simplest of things , but l just couldn’t see her suffer any longer.

My beautiful partner and I are expecting our first baby in late July and l KNOW she was waiting for her to arrive , but l couldn’t let her go through her struggle any longer.

I’m sure she’s angry at me, she struggled so hard for so long , and I don’t blame her for not wanting to go yet , but l also know she knows l had to do what l did out of love for her.

Please forgive me my golden girl, l love you too much to have you suffer anymore , be at peace now my sweet and l’ll see you again soon.
