Wonderful image, your use of natural light is superb, what a great model to work with, such perfect hair colour for the light.

I particularly like how the background motion is a blur and the central focal point, is motionless but clear.

  • danielklaas replied

Cheers Lisa. I love my 50mm lens (and its 1.8 f-stop). When you get nice and close to the subject, it blurs wonderfully. I got lucky though, Berlin had wonderful sun on this day, and then someone with such amazing hair stands right in that light :-) Perfect combo.

Very striking image – love how her wonderful hair color pulls the little bits of orange out of the entire piece. Great balance.

What a remarkable shot this is. I love the light on her arms too, as well as the obviously lovely hair… The lens is great..the background…and her intent gaze- All these points, they all add up to more than these mere parts, and that’s where you come in. You pull this off so well Daniel.

  • danielklaas replied

Rosie. You are always far too kind. I do love that 50mm lens though. Couldn’t shoot without it :-)
