I love the little arc of light on or across the water, and the soft reflectiveness there, beneath the reeds and grasses. So well done. Love this

  • danielklaas replied

Thanks Maureen. Always appreciate your comments. I agree about the arc, it may be due to the age of the lens, but it works well here. Almost a rainbow for the animals of the pond.

    Enchanting…..

Your use of natural light is absolutely lush and perfect.

    A glorious location.

  • danielklaas replied

Thanks so much Lisa. I like you choice of words here (again).

Luckily for me, this location is only a few minutes walk away. Got some great looks though holding the Rollei in my hands :-)

Gorgeous heavenly shot Daniel- love the BW treatment.

  • danielklaas replied

Thanks again. Its B&W film, so no treatment added here. Pretty much a direct negative scan.

Wow- thanks of correcting me- explains the quality then?!! Daniel do you scan the shots then or the film, or how do you get them up here?

  • danielklaas replied

At the moment I am getting the film developed in town (next step is to develop my own work). Then scan the negatives at home with a scanner that can handle medium format film. Import them into the computer, and upload :-)
Waiting on your negatives is so weird after using digital for so long.

The difference is so worth it.

  • danielklaas replied

Fully agree. Digital is great, but there is something about film that digital just can’t quite match. Well in my opinion anyway. Thanks for your support.

Didn’t they tell us not to photograph directly into opposite light?
Rules are there to be broken. You know obviously how to do!!!

  • danielklaas replied

Thanks Thomas. Exactly my thoughts too. You never know until you point that camera directly at the light.

Gorgeous shot! It deserves a title! Something on the from a magical realm for sure!

  • danielklaas replied

Thanks so much Joanne. I rarely title my work. I prefer to let the viewer see what they want to see.

    Appreciate you kind words.
