Thankfully I followed one of the main rules when shooting landscapes. TURN AROUND. I was busy shooting with a wide angle towards the sun, then during a memory card change over, I turned to find the sun burning over the valley. A quick change to the telephoto and I was able to grab this shot. Quite happy with the result.
