One day I saw this showcase article of 3D Club Flyer designs [by Steve Goodin aka Demen1] – http://flyergoodness.blogspot.com/2009/11/steve... – and a while later it inspired me. Inspired me to go back to the drawing board
and construct a piece out of straight and diagonal lines.
Spur of the moments doodling[s] led to sketches of hexagons – breaking out with straight and diagonal lines – the looks of whom, whilst in the land of nod, came to remind me of human expressions, an IM smiley if you will.
So square gridded sheets of overlapping lines later, I put lines, shapes and textures together, and out wove out an visual allegory of life, or to be more precise, a ‘half life’ that most of us live for work, which – whilst undeniably is an important grounding for any person – does take up a majority of our time, be it for better or worse, physically or and mentally.
I left the greater whole of this up to personal interpretation really!
