I was on a hunger walk with a church group. The course took us through the city. As we walked there was a destitute man up ahead and many of the walkers crossed the street before coming to him hoping to avoid any interaction. I continued on and when we finally met he asked if I had anything to spare. I gave him a couple of the donuts I had and some money and he seemed genuinely thankful.
