This is an original linoleum print from my Strange Scenes Series. The series is inspired by actual events or incidence that I personally witnessed. There was a beautiful country road near my home that came up over a ridge from the city and came down into the Snoqualmie Valley. When development started on top of the ridge they came in and destroyed the forest and widened the road. Early one Sunday morning I was driving to my studio and noticed the heavy equipment that days before were tearing up the trees. It was quiet and still and it seemed the trees were embracing the machines in a solemn expression of forgiveness.
