East Tower
The last light of the setting sun lights the east tower of the historic LDS (Mormon) Temple in Manti, Utah. Constructed of cream-colored oolitic limestone from a newby quarry this magnificent structure was hand crafted by Mormon pioneers from 1887 to 1888. Both the east and west tower house matching 179 foot spiral staircases that are a marvel of engineering even to this day.
The golden light from the setting sun really accents the color of the limestone construction material.
