The paintings and drawings of Helena Nelson -Reed emerge from her own life as well as the lives of others, vision, dreams, and above all innate love of creating. Helena’s art is often inspired by, but not limited to, traditional Native American and Celtic culture, spirituality and myth. The imagery communicates a personal interpretation of archetype, dream, rendered in transparent watercolor or colored pencil. While most of these works have layers of meaning, it is the viewer’s personal interpretation that is most meaningful.
