Helena Nelson Reed

Call of the Goddess 2012 by

The paintings and drawings of Helena Nelson -Reed emerge from her own life as well as the lives of others, vision, dreams, and above all innate love of creating. Helena’s art is often inspired by, but not limited to, traditional Native American and Celtic culture, spirituality and myth. The imagery communicates a personal interpretation of archetype, dream, rendered in transparent watercolor or colored pencil. While most of these works have layers of meaning, it is the viewer’s personal interpretation that is most meaningful. I’ll be adding calendar featuring my visionary works soon. The art will be a different technique, and include animals, birds and both genders rather than focusing on the Divine Feminine, while still recognizable as my own.
