Where The Light Always Shone by

(Writing created to submit with image for the ImageWriting group based on a challenge. Writing in intalics indicates quote of the challenge.)

“I’m wasted and I’m wounded and I can’t find my way home..” (Led Zeppelin)

…The chill in the air squelched my desire to roam.
In search of some comfort I went to the place,
Where the lights always burning and through haze, I see a human face.

Nothings been easy, nothing’s been kind.
I can’t get the pain in my leg from my mind.
Just a little farther, at least I will be,
Under cover from demons that in this world torture me.

“I’m wasted and I’m wounded and I can’t find my way home..” (Led Zeppelin)

…But now I lay here in a comfortable space,
A catnip glaze; I can still feel my face.
Embracing nirvana I’m never alone,
Thank God for the place where the light always shone. ~TLC
