Good To The Last Bite

July 3, 2009 Challenge Winner Playful Photogenic Pets here:
Thank you all! xo

Top Tenner in Challenge in Paws N Claws group here:
June, 2009
My husband had just come in from mowing the yard to set down and eat some lunch. That’s a chore of it’s own around our house. Even a salad doesn’t escape begging eyes when there is chicken buried under the lettuce. ;o)
For those who don’t all ready know, the dogs and the cats in the photo are all rescues or were adopted into our family at the request of owners who couldn’t keep them any more.
For a challenge.

Ohhhhh my goodness! What a house full of love!!!
Absolutely brilliant capture dear Terri…............truly a beautiful sight!!!
hugs, Rosie xxxooo
Terri Chandler replied
LOL! xoxo It’s a true testiment to who gets fat around here and who doesn’t. I’m glad you liked this one Rose. ;o) Hugs my friend! xo
ccwri
WOW! Wonderful that you take the animals, and give them all homes!! I love the black lab!!! They are all wonderful!! Great photo!!
Carolyn
Terri Chandler replied
Thank you so much! xo I’m so glad you liked “Scooter”. He’s my precious boy that I brought home from the vet clinic with me after someone threw him out in the parking lot. He has seizures and needs lots of TLC and daily medicine. xo
CraigsMom
Oh my. At one point we had two Newfoundlands and two German Shepherds, as well as three cats. I thought we were nuts, but happy. You have us beat by a mile!!!!!!!! What a wonderful shot. I love the dog dish full of kibble being ignored!!!
Terri Chandler replied
You have had some beautiful dogs. xo You know you weren’t nuts. ;o)
I have decided (I think) that I would much rather have 4 large dogs, instead of 4 tiny dogs, as the tiny ones are more excitable, and more easily get under foot when you least expect it. LOL! ;o)
I hadn’t really noticed the dog food until you said something! That is the way of it around here.
Scott d'Almeida
awesome,
Terri Chandler replied
Thanks so much Scott! xo Good to see you again! ;o)
Isa Rodriguez
omg.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a buch a sweetness here!! im just stunned at how adorable! what a chore . they love him so much :) God bless your home and you for all the love you have given them ..
Terri Chandler replied
Hey Isa! ;o) Thank you so much! xo We do have very hectic days around here but once I’ve got them all spread out on their beds at night. As funny as it sounds, to look at all of them sleeping happily and peacefully, it was worth the day of chaos. ;o)
Lori Walton
LOL ….. all I can think to say is “God Bless You, Terri”. That is quite a brew you have there.
Terri Chandler replied
Aw! Thanks Lori. We’ve had “multiple pets” for so long now and so many things are just automatic I can’t imagine what it would be like if it was quite around here and we didn’t have them. If we want a peaceful meal we go out. LOL! ;o)
jewelskings
I bet no crumbs in your house!
Terri Chandler replied
LOL! You are correct about that! ;o) We have to keep the cat food out of reach as well. Nothing escapes those noses. ;o)
Babbler
LOL…great !
Terri Chandler replied
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed this one my friend! xo
Patty Boyte
Love it!!! Good for you guys, what a great shot ; )
Terri Chandler replied
Thanks so much Patty. Your compliment means so much! ;o)
stephaniek
hahaha…..........too cute!!! My husband would hate that, lol.
Terri Chandler replied
LOL! Oh it’s funny you said that, because so does my brother-in-law.
If they all set, and don’t get excited and try to shove their way into my face I’m okay. Most of the time though, we feed them their dinner just before we set down to eat ours, and let them go outside while we eat. Then all we have to do is persuade the cats to leave us alone. ;o)
Donna Adamski
LMAO!!! This is hilarious….love it Terri….darn it, got to meet the family!! :)
Terri Chandler replied
I so wish you could have. If you could have gotten past the barking at the front door, they are friendly, you can just imagine being met at the door in mass like that…..I don’t blame people for wanting to turn around and run away! ROTFL!
Jim Phillips
And I have trouble with just one dog staring at me, Geez. This is definitely a keeper Terri.
Terri Chandler replied
LOL! I don’t mind if they set there all day and stare at me as long as they just set there. I’m selfish! It’s for their own good anyway. ;o)
I’m glad you enjoyed this one Jim! xo Hugs to you and Barb!
Gloria Abbey
This is a riot!! Your husband sure is a great sport. You sure have been blessed with all those lovebugs.
Terri Chandler replied
Your compliment means so much Gloria. Billy really does spend quite a bit of quality time with the dogs. Actually, I must give him a lot of credit, he helps out with them a lot. He is the main dog-walker in the family. Especially in the summer, he usually takes all of them for a walk around our little neighborhood circle at least every other day depending on his work schedule. Their monthly grooming is typically left up to me, but we do the cats monthly grooming and maintenance together. It is a labor of love! xo
Susanne Correa
So wonderful of you and your husband Terri, to adopt all these lovely pets and to give them a good home. You deserve a star*

Terri Chandler replied
Your so kind Susanne. We truly don’t do it for any special attention but we are very proud of all of them and always love showing them off just like proud parents would. ;o)
MarianaEwa
Fantastic capture Terri. You sure put a big smile on my face today LOL
If animals could eat with the eyes your husband would have a empty dish…LOL
I love that grey cat sitting on the couch :)
How sweet and kind of you and your family to take care and adopt all these wonderful pets. People like you have a gold star in pets heaven, you know that don´t you :) Give all of them a hug from me.
Terri Chandler replied
LOL! Hugs to you my friend! That long hair grey cat on the arm of the sofa is Simon. He’s the one that used to walk around here with a “Pound Bunnie” (the tiny stuffed childs toy) in his mouth; talking endlessly. He loved that little toy and once it wore out we were unable to get him another because they stopped making them.
Poor guy hasn’t been the same since. ;o)
Fern Design
Hahaa I love this!!!
This gives me an idea for a challenge!
can I use this image for the challenge please?
AnnDixon
This is wonderful, typical when there is food around but wonderful of you giving them all homes, I admire you for that, great shot,
Terri Chandler replied
You are certainly right Ann! Typical indeed! ;o) Thank you for stopping by and leaving such a kind comment. xo
Mark Chapman
Oh this is brilliant!
How can Billy eat all that food whilst the poor half starved pets look on in anticipation waiting for a dropped crumb?
I just hope he feels guilty!
Great shot, I love it well done Terri x
Terri Chandler replied
Oh he feels more guilt than I ever do now. ;o) Which is why he’s thinner than I am! LOL! I learned about 4 dogs ago that if I ever wanted to get any amount of a meal for myself that shareing was just out of the question. ROTFL! I’m glad you enjoyed this shot Mark. Thank you so much! xo
Cheri Perry
You have a household like I would love to have. Hubby has put his foot down to only two dog and a cat though :( I love them to death though…but this is a scene I love to see and expecially knowing they are all rescues….What a great capture.
Terri Chandler replied
Well I think we are kind of lucky in that Billy really has the affinity for the dogs, while mine is more toward the cats. It became kind of like telling him “It’s a boy! or It’s a girl!” You know men seem to want to hear that it’s a boy….well in our case, Billy was really eager and willing to help out when he heard me say, “It’s a dog!”
Susanne Correa
Terri Chandler replied
I certainly am excited and honored Susanne. Thank all of you so much! xo
melree
Fantastic!! A bit like my place lol
Terri Chandler replied
Oh my! A human after our own heart. That’s wonderful to hear! ;o)
Thank you for stopping by and I’m so glad you enjoyed the capture! xo
icesrun
Saaw this in the challenge for Begging for Food I dont think there even needs to be a challenge, I think you have won hands down or should I say dogs down!!
Wonderful picture!!
Terri Chandler replied
You are too kind! xo Thank you very much for your support and kind words! xo
Ann Rodriquez
Oh my word, this is brilliant! Ha! : ) Love it.
Terri Chandler replied
Thank you so much Ann. I appreciate your comment and am glad you enjoyed it! ;o)
redqueenself
This is so funny! The expression on the faces (at least the ones I can see) is so intense.
Terri Chandler replied
Imagine lots of drooling and foaming at the mouth! LOL! You’ll have a good idea of what the faces of the ones you can’t see look like! ;o) Glad you enjoyed this one my friend! xo
VanillaDolphin
Congrats on your win =)
Terri Chandler replied

Oh my god woman. lol I laughed when I saw it, still am actually. But that’s cute in it’s own way too. lol great work. And btw, that’s like this at my house with one cat, two dogs and a bird. I do have another cat but for some crazy reason she stays only in a certain part of the house. Anyways, good work.
Terri Chandler replied
Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment! xo
Meal times can take on a whole new meaning when you have pets! ;o)
tarynb
Feeding time at the zoo? lol, this happens at house when we sit down to eat except we dont have nearly as many pets! Great shot!
Terri Chandler replied
Taryn I’ve seen some of your wonderful beggers! ;o)xo How lucky you are as well! Thank you for leaving such a nice comment and stopping by! xo
