The Color of the Sun

An examination of the what ifs of life, and the impact of seeing through them and making a choice to be who you want to me NOW.

What if the sun was pink?

When you walked out into the sunshine,
would the warmth feel instead like happiness?
Would its glow feel like kisses
on soft pink baby skin?

Would you choose to live this life of kindness and joy,
since in life there is always a choice?

Would the light of a pink sun
drape you in peace and fill you
with the hunger to learn and grow and become
more than you thought you could be?

Would you dance?
Would you swim?
Would you believe me when I say
that you are cherished, loved…
That your life and its journey matters and
how you live them is your legacy to time, to nature, and to God?

If the sun was pink,
would you claim this existence?
Or, would you let it fade like the sunset
in a pink and purple sky?

Don’t wait.
The sun is yellow.
