An artist living and working in Italy.
Graduated from UK in Fine Art in 1996.

My work fuses influences from Abstract Expressionism to Minimalism, from De Kooning to Warhol and Sigmar Polke from Da Vinci to Peter Doig.

Using continuing painterly concerns to try to balance figuration and abstraction. My work explores moments in time and space. They have developed through layering expression with calculation, fluidly mixing image sources and materials.

I am interested in the tensions between order and chaos, expressiveness and restraint, the gestural and the conceptual.

The objectivity of the image, the limits of perception and the intrinsic properties of the materials are primary concerns in my work.
