The turtles of the 80s seemed to spend a lot of time going to space, meeting robots, surfing on giant turtles, and of course trying to solve the problems of the world non-violently.Which doesn’t really make sense.
Buy it as a tee

Amazing colour approach to this piece man, looks fantastic.
Thanks Matt, I’m really going through a red and green phase right now. If you look at the tee there’s a closeup that shows the halftone joy in those shadows too :)
In reply to your description: Which is why finding the original Mirage comics seemed such a relief. Those turtles solved that whole Shredder shamozzle in the first issue.
Nice limited colours here… And— WHAT? YOU EVEN GOT BELLYBOMB? Nerd cred +5, man. Now I miss the Archie comics, too.
Heh, yeah I pulled the 80s characters in for the body pile, and topped it with a mirage style original because the two were so incongruent. The later cartoon seemed to reconcile it somewhat, but still didn’t fully capture the grittiness of Eastman and Laird’s original. No idea what Nickelodeon and IDW are going to do with it.
Thankyou!! I haz turtle desktop now!!
Then the world is a brighter, more turtley place :)
I bought TMNT 3…little man likes it. awesome tee!! That pile rocks!!
Ah, cool! It seemed (from memory) to be a bit funnier and more light hearted than the first two. I’m clearly going to have to track it down.
…is that Shredder’s helmet on the ground!? Oh man, Krang is not going to be happy…
