Yep, the free shipping promo codes have a deadline (Midnight 24th November New York Time – that’s another 28 hours or so). I also got a promo code “HOLIDAY4” which gave me 20% off and $12 of the shipping.. so slightly better than the RB ones. No idea if that has an expiry date.

Thanks Chris, all I had to do was put the pages together, it’s the work of the group that makes the book so kickarse, and the work from yourself, Scott and Mimi in selecting that would have been the really tough job.

Thanks Ross.. yeah, the talent in our group completely blew me away. Before we started the challenge I didn’t know if we’d get enough work for a book, but as it was it was really difficult deciding what wouldn’t get in.

Thanks Paul. Honestly, I’m a sucker for cool illustration books, so I was really just trying to put together one for myself. But honestly, all I did was facilitate everything.. the real work came from the panel and members.
I went with softcover, incidentally.. the cheaper option :)

Yeah, seriously Natalie was just wonderful. We gave her such little notice, but she still took the time to make that fantastic cover, and some extra doodles for the first page and back cover. It was exactly the sort of cover I was hoping for.

Hey theyellowfury.. I reckon if we do another it’ll be in the same way as we did this one, namely run a challenge and have a panel pick from the challenge entries.. so for sure, you can try for the next one. You might like to join the International Superheroes group though, so you know when it’s on.

I’m pretty sure Jo and I ordered the first two copies, mine was shipped last week but can take up to three weeks to be delivered. Rest assured when it does arrive I’ll post a journal item with lots of photos :)
incidentally, the sales on the site only update when a book has been manufactured (not when the sale is placed) but so far it’s shown 17 books sold in the first two days. Well done everybody, although now I’m really feeling the pressure and hoping it all looks okay.
