My new website is up!

My new site is up, check it out here

http://www.damienmason.com/

I built it all in wordpress.. so it’s a portfolio, but it’s also a blog. People can comment (who? I’m not sure, but i can dream ;) ) and it’s much easier to update than my old site. Plus it’s got tagging, polls, categories that work as sections.. yes, wordpress. I am officially a fan :)

What do you think? Is the blog/portfolio the way to go, or should I be less concerned about what other people think?

    Hi Damien.

It works for me, and has an interactivness (is that a word?) that your more static sites don’t seem to have.

Love the axolotyl thingy you have on your header!

a website is a website.. and either if u do the traditional way or utilize Wordpress or blogger..tis very cool..

i personally think blogging style of site is much a better idea, as you can update it much more easier than the standard type of sites. Infact with the new technology, you should be able to take a photo with your mobile phone and email it straight to your wordpress. You can update and access your site from anywhere, internet cafe, friends place etc.. Whilst if you had built it say using dreamweaver and all that, you would need to have your original files (or access into your server via ftp/cpanel etc) to do any updates.. or new post…

    and then theres widgets…oooh…..

anyways.. before i get too excited.. my site is also built with wordpress, and the i just added a top frame to hold it all up (cuz i publish so many other sites as well..)

    Well Done!!!

i just read your other blog, about the PFO thingy, and i just want to let you know don’t be discouraged. Continue to work and build up your portfolio and one day you might not need to be seeking agencies they will be seeking you.
