With the thought of another clear night Jay and headed up to Barrenjoey lighthouse for our first time shooting it. Driving up there at 3.30am we subsequently found out that neither of us had ever been up there, but how hard could it be??? I swear we both earn’t our vista that night :) especially with the amount of gear we lugged up there. I was stupidly only wearing shorts, but was adequately warm once we reached the top.
We had a number of shots in mind and had planned to shoot all the way into sunrise. Much to our delight the Milky Way was right next to the lighthouse.
Single frame shot using a torch to light paint the foreground and lighthouse.
