Ever since starting the journey of seascape photography I have really wanted to shoot this pool. Of all the rock pools in Sydney this one is right up there in terms of the overall beauty and geometric lines it presents.
The name Coogee is said to be taken from a local Aboriginal word koojah which means “smelly place”. I love telling people this that live over there as I grew up in Manly, which is on the Northern beaches of Sydney. The Ross Jones Memorial Pool was built in 1947. It is located next to the Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC)
It was a pretty good sunrise with some nice light on the horizon.
