Lots of great teasing in this one — it’s happened before? Friendly people end up dead? Was it so sudden that the person the note is to was just away for a few hours, or has it been a longer time? Why is s/he so certain that this person has survived?

What is implied seems so much scarier than what is said. Sometimes I wonder if my imagination is a curse or a blessing! Great job Damian.
