Thanks Tim. I’m using a Nikon D70, and the macro I have is a Tamron SP AF 90mm F/2.8, and I’ve been very happy with it. I hadn’t expected the extra sharpness of the images compared to the kit lens.

I felt like it was something at a distance from me, and had stretched an arm in my direction, and was straining to get to me with spindly fingers. That thought had inspired the title :)

Ah, I love macro shots, and this is a beautiful example of a really nice one! I like how the focus is a bit to the right and the rest is blurred out. And of course the effect from the sun shining through it is great!
