You can find me over at my own website, Fable
The site is still being built, but come visit and tell me what you think!

I completed NaNoWriMo! A 50,000 word story in a month. Now to actually finish the rest of the story…
Come and visit me and my writing at Katarr Kanticles Press
On RedBubble, I co-host the Short Stories Group, Spherical Scriptings, the Vampire Group, Blood Red and Full Moon Rising the Werewolf group.
I’m currently a biologist by day (pathology genetics, B.App.Sci (Hons I), PhD). I started developing photography and creative writing to keep me sane during the ordeal of the PhD. I didn’t really have time to be doing it, but my mind clutched at it and wouldn’t let go.
I enjoy escapism, probably more than most things. A lot of Neil Gaiman’s writing strikes a chord, particularly when he’s avoiding the real world. Then anything that looks like a fairytale.
I’ve had some one-off jobs in photography and sold images in a number of ways and places :)
I’ve got a story published at AustralianReader (which was the Editor’s pick for March 2008), Greenbeard (which was also selected for their first print edition), and Bewildering Stories, a review at Greenbeard, a story in issue 1, 2 and 4 of the WMG Blogazine, a travel story on MeetURPlanet.com and an eBook available at Mystic Moon Press.
I won the Writer’s Market Group eBook competition, won best fiction and best story overall in the last Short Stories of the Soul competition (zine isn’t up anymore), two finalist spots in the Spirit Walks competition, a finalist spot in the Sugar High competition as well as second overall, and won a Twisted Tales competition.
I’ve also placed 3rd in DBA Lehane’s non-RB writing competition, had a 2nd and 3rd place in Flash Fiction group challenges, and another three 3rd places in Twisted Tales competitions, as well as a third in the monthly showdown of finalists at Twisted Tales.
Curious about what music I’m listening to? You can see it all on my LastFM page.
I can’t be contacted here via bmail, but I’m on Facebook

She saw him come for her. She lay in bed with widening eyes and saw his shape fill the doorway, knife extended.
He knew he was in trouble the day he started seeing fairies in the garden.
She relaxed and the man blew more powder into her face, inducing a drugged sleep. Her mouth sagged open to reveal savage fangs, and Sniper shook his head. What the hell were these guys playing at?!
‘There’s something in the water,’ Bill mumbled, speaking through lips that were already swollen, along with the entire side of his face.
Her voice called to me in the night, musical and haunting; calling from beyond the crash of the surf.
‘You,’ Shadan said, glaring at her. ‘You’re the voice in my mind, prying into my thoughts.’ / A small taste of where I’d gone with my NaNoWriMo story.
