Looks like a nasty one too.
    Great capture!

  • Yeah… the weather radar showed some VERY heavy rain, but most of it went across a few kilometres to the north of us… only received some light showers for a short period… buggah!!!

Is this the old farmhouse you live in? Just kidding, but hey – if you fixed it up it could be a castle
    Awesome capture..

  • We live in the old farm house on a piece of the original farm land that included this old barn, shearing shed, implement sheds and stone water tanks. Most of it is well beyond its “use-by-date” and have tried to encourage the neighboring farmer to part with it to no avail.

We wouild lave to use the old barn as an art studio, workshop… maybe one day we may be lucky!!!

batten down the hatches!! great shot.

  • The rough weather has pretty well been and gone today…

If you notice the pieces of timber sticking above the wall to the right of the barn, you can see that the old roof has seen better days… In a big storm around 5 years ago, the iron on there blew off, and the timber rafters collapsed.

I have been given the OK to salvage the timber to use in some way… will most likely build our new kitchen cabinetry with it… some wonderful, old oregon timber!!! Should look great in our old “farmhouse”.
