Panoramic sunset over ruins near Lake Sunday, Yorke Peninsula, South Australia #2
The neighboring ruins of the old farm outbuilding present some interesting oppotunities to create a foreground in profile. These buildings are less than 100m west of our boundary fence.

Oh, this is beautiful Craig. That big yellow and orange sky is something else!

Thanks Whirligig… it is a view from the side of our property looking across old ruins that where part of the farm that we now live in. Our property is only on 1 hectare, but we are surrounded by open farmland and limited scrub and trees. Our views are panoramic, and on a clear night the view of the stars is incredible.
Many sunrises and sunsets are spectacular anywhere… it is the openness around us and the clear skies (except when there is a dust storm) that make them so spectacular here.
I will try to capture some more sunrises and sunsets from here and elsewhere on the southern Yorke Peninsula and upload them in due course…
Thanks again.

Hey craig this is something special. The colours are beautiful. I can see now by this photo why you suggested what you did of my piece ‘afterglow’. I appreciate the advice. I’ll look out for your work in future. Keep up the good work. Keep in touch mate.

Thanks Christian… I look forward to seeing your cropped image… and Craig Shillington, fell free to get over to the Yorke Peninsula sometime… we should be able to catch up… My wife and I live in an old farmhouse with a few spare room… give it some thought and we may go out and do some photo shots around the area.

I love panoramics, and thats a good take! Most of my earlier work is mainly panoramic landscapes. If did not bother me at all if if might be judged as amuture, because I knew they might be the only ones of their kind. I have boxes, and boxes, and boxes of them. I have been wanting to donate to our local heritage association of Frisco, Texas. I am not sure, but if I can maintain my rights, and have some control on mass production with fixed percent of profit, it will get done. Just like yours, it recorded something. What is crumbling in your background?
Craig Watson
Thanks for the comment and question Darrel.
The ruin is the remnant of the old buildings used on the farm that we now live in (Part thereof!!!) These buildings were used to cover the old farm machinery, house stock feed, working sheds, a shearing shed, horse stables and many other uses. There are even a few old stone water tanks amongst the ruins.
The building offer some interesting foregrounds and profiles in many a shot I have taken.
